Resentment
Resentment is bitter indignation at having been treated unfairly. Resentment is at work when one so hates somebody for his more favorable circumstances that one is prepared to bear heavy losses if only the hated one might also come to harm.[1] Ludwig von Mises regarded socialism as "nothing but a grandiose rationalization of petty resentments."[2]
