Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in the Mises Wiki!

Join the Mises Wiki mailing list here to discuss new features and projects, troubleshooting, and to discuss the future development of the Mises Wiki.

If you are looking for places to contribute right now, here are several options:

Things to do and explore

  • Newest articles -- The newest articles--listed newest to oldest--that have been added to the Mises Wiki and may need some review
  • Shortest articles -- The shortest articles--in reverse order of number of bytes--presently on the Mises Wiki that might need some expansion. If an article you find is really short and/or not quite ready for prime-time, you might consider assigning it a category of "Stub", to wit:
  • Stubs -- Similar to the shortest articles, these entries have already been assigned the category of "stub" since they, at one point, were considered (by someone or other) "placeholding" or start-up articles and definitely needed some expansion. See if you agree.
  • Most recent changes Watching changes that have just been made also helps us avoid any spam or mischief. The Mises Wiki is already popular enough to have been discovered!
  • Economic history -- An overview of the economic history project here on the Mises Wiki plus some identified economic history items that could use your assistance
  • The Sandbox -- A practice area and workspace where you can try out your wiki editing skills (newbies welcome) and not worry (much) about breaking anything. Have at it! Try using the Show preview button to test your edits first, and notice also there is a Cancel option. Did your attempt still end up looking like a disaster? No idea how to fix it? Heart beating? No worries. Folks aren't too far away if you have questions. And, the Sandbox slate is wiped clean regularly, so any less-than-perfect results won’t be there long. That why the Sandbox is there!
  • Meetups -- A developing list of worldwide meetup groups of followers and friends of the Austrian School, most of whom have probably not yet tested their skills in the Sandbox either
