Depends on how one defines money, a "commonly used medium of exchange" of course makes it dependent on what can be considered "common". And indeed, Bitcoin doesn't seem to me like a money substitute.
Which leads to the bigger question - how come we don't have a Money substitute page? :) Pestergaines (talk) 17:51, 5 January 2014 (EST)
