Judaism

Judaism is a monotheistic religion based on the teachings of the Tanakh, or Hebrew Bible. This text consists of the Mosaic law of the Pentateuch, followed by a number of historical, poetic, and prophetic books. Many other popular religions, most notably Christianity and Islam, branched off from Judaism. In contrast to the relative absence of a concept of a "secular Christianity" or "secular Islam," there is a large cultural Judaism stream encouraging individual thought and understanding among Jews.
