Secession
Appearance
Secession is the act of withdrawing of persons from a political entity like the state or the central government, historically resulting from a series of grievances. Secession -in an ethical sense- should be a voluntary assertion of individuals, otherwise one may simply call it also political separation.
It is a central idea in the classical liberal understanding of political order, as elucidated by Ludwig von Mises in Nation, State, and Economy (1919):
No people and no part of a people shall be held against its will in a political association that it does not want.
However, secession has no well embraced political backup. Many people prefer wrong defined minarchist ends, and think that secession is Utopia.
