Christianity

Christianity is a religion based upon the teachings of Jesus Christ, and the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament. It developed from Judiasm in modern-day Palestine-Israel, and has approximately 2.1 billion adherents worldwide. Its three main divisions are Eastern Orthodox - which emerged from the Byzantine Empire, Roman Catholic - which emerged from the Western Roman Empire, and Protestant – which emerged from the Protestant Reformation in Europe.
