Essayspace is the namespace in which users are allowed to post short pieces of writing containing personal opinions, interpretations, experiences, and observations concerning topics relevant to the Austrian school. Some essays can help in the eventual creation of mainspace articles. An essay can start out as a bunch of bald assertions and polemics, but also serve as an inspiration and as a place to gather together facts and Austrian school citations until there are enough to write a decent mainspace article. As a practical matter, essayspace has often served as a repository for biased articles moved from mainspace; it is, perhaps, a superior alternative to deletion, because no information is removed from view, and therefore collaboration can continue.
