Franklin Delano Roosevelt ("FDR") was the 32nd President of the United States from March 4, 1933 to his death on April 12, 1945, when he was succeeded by Harry S. Truman.

Franklin Roosevelt is best known for the New Deal, his failed attempt to end the Great Depression through further government intervention, and for involving the United States in World War II.
