At this writing, there isn't an occupational category that fits this person. (See current list below of the sub-categories under the Biographies category.) I suppose he is a Policeman of sorts, but not quite a Soldier. Henchman comes to mind, or perhaps Enforcer. Maybe Secret policemen could be a category. Bureaucrat is a possibility, and there have certainly been lots of those around the world. :(

(Separately, he could also be described by his politics, which would be both interventionist and statist, but that is my inference only.)

Perhaps a category of Government police is sufficiently generic. This could include any and all of those individuals who are or were enforcers of involuntary, coercive, "top-down" orders. It is generic enough to include, say, J. Edgar Hoover. A super-category of Police may be in order with sub-categories of varying degrees of repressiveness. Perhaps also police in a voluntary, natural order could be included in another sub-category. Those could be incorporated later, so I'll run Government police up the proverbial flagpole to see if anyone salutes. :) Separately, I'll add Economists to our current subject as well. -- RayBirks 21:49, 29 January 2011 (CST)
